Sunscreen Isn't Enough (And That's Okay)

If you've been diligent about sunscreen all summer, reapplying every couple hours, wearing a hat, doing all the things you're supposed to do, you deserve real credit for that. Most people don't. But even if you've done everything right, there's something important to understand. Sunscreen was never designed to undo damage. It's only built to prevent new damage from happening.

That distinction matters more than people realize. Even with perfect sunscreen habits, your skin has still been dealing with heat, humidity, sweat, pool chlorine, salt water, and just more overall exposure to the elements than it gets any other time of year. All of that takes a toll on your skin's texture and hydration levels regardless of how well protected you were from direct sun. You can

do everything right and still end up with skin that feels rougher, looks duller, or just doesn't bounce back the way it used to by the end of the season.

This is where treatment comes in as the other half of the equation. Think of sunscreen as defense, the thing that stops new problems from starting. A treatment like a HydraFacial is offense, actively going in and pulling out what's clogging your pores, hydrating what summer stripped away, and giving your skin the reset it needs after months of being out in the world more than usual.

Neither one replaces the other. Sunscreen without treatment still leaves you with tired, congested skin by the end of summer. Treatment without sunscreen just means you're fighting new damage while trying to fix old damage at the same time. Pairing both together is really the only way to walk into fall with skin that looks like it actually rested this summer instead of just survived it. If you've already got the sunscreen part down, let ReGenesis handle the other half.
